Chief Operating Officer

As Splash expands its citywide model across East and Southern Africa, we are looking for an experienced organizational builder to strengthen how our global team operates and delivers.
Splash has completed more than 2,500 projects and now serves more than 1.2 million children each day with clean water, sanitation, hygiene, and menstrual health services. In Zambia, the next phase includes reaching more than 700,000 students across 407 public schools in partnership with the national government and local leaders.
Reporting to the CEO, the COO will:
Serve as a trusted thought partner and operational counterpart to the CEO
Build the planning, decision-making, and accountability systems that turn strategy into delivery
Lead Operations and People & Culture across a distributed global team
Strengthen coordination across functions, countries, and partnerships
This is a senior operating role with genuine authority, direct reports, and clear decisions to own. We are looking for someone who has built strong organizations through growth and complexity, led multicultural teams across countries and time zones, and knows how to pair accountability with care.
Location: Remote and open to candidates globally, with preference for time zones that pair well with Eastern and Southern Africa.
Salary: $175,000 to $185,000 USD per year, based on experience.
