Social Media Marketing Intern

We’re looking for a part-time Social Media Marketing Intern (10–15 hours/week) to join the team behind Sofreh + Sofreh Café, an acclaimed Iranian restaurant and cafe in Brooklyn founded by Chef Nasim Alikhani.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone passionate about food, hospitality, social media, and Iranian culture to gain experience in content creation, social strategy, influencer marketing + outreach, and building a distinctive hospitality brand.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Is knowledgeable about social media, particularly Instagram and TikTok
• Is interested in learning more about social media marketing, content creation, and working with influencers
• Has a genuine interest in food, hospitality, and Iranian culture/cuisine
• Is creative, organized, reliable, and eager to learn
• Can work Eastern Time hours
• Is ideally NYC-based and able to occasionally travel to the restaurant or cafe for photoshoots/content creation (e.g. 1x per month), though remote candidates are welcome
• Persian language skills and deeper knowledge of Iranian culture are a plus, but not required
This is an unpaid, part-time internship (10–15 hours/week) eligible for college credit. Interns will also receive monthly stipends in the form of giftcards redeemable at the restaurant and cafe.
