QA Engineer

The Quality Assurance Engineering Team at Roadzen is a cross-functional Operations and Software Engineering team engaged across all phases of the application and service release lifecycle. The team works closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery of roadmap features across multiple products within the organisation. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in automation testing, API testing, mobile/web application testing, and emerging AI-driven QA practices.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to define test strategies and quality solutions.
Participate actively in sprint planning, release planning, and Agile ceremonies.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
Perform manual and exploratory testing across applications and services when required.
Develop and execute automation suites for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Implement API-level automation testing using modern frameworks and tools.
Analyse test execution logs, prepare detailed test reports, and coordinate defect resolution with stakeholders.
Work closely with DevOps and deployment teams to support CI/CD quality gates and release validation.
Contribute to testability reviews during product design and architecture discussions.
Mentor junior QA engineers and drive QA best practices across teams.
Leverage AI-powered QA tools for intelligent automation and testing efficiency.
Requirements:
5-7 years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles.
Strong expertise in Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or equivalent tools for web, mobile, and REST API testing, along with hands-on experience in Postman, Charles Proxy, and Jenkins.
Experience designing scalable automation frameworks.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.
Hands-on experience with SQL and test management tools.
Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
AI and Modern QA Skills:
Experience using AI-assisted QA tools and automation platforms.
Familiarity with intelligent test automation and AI-generated test scenarios.
Knowledge of self-healing automation frameworks and predictive defect analysis.
Exposure to tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Testim, Mabl, Functionize, KaneAI, and Applitools.
Minimum Qualifications:
B. E. / B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle and QA methodologies.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in insurance, fintech, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
ISTQB certification is a plus.
