Role Description This full-time remote role as a Crop Insurance Adjuster / Crop Claims Specialist in Eastern Washington or North Idaho is responsible for evaluating crop-related losses and ensuring fair, timely claims resolution. Daily activities include conducting field inspections (in-person and/or using remote tools), gathering and verifying data on crop conditions and yield, and documenting findings in accordance with company and regulatory standards. The role involves reviewing policy terms, assessing coverage, and calculating indemnities while maintaining accurate records in claims systems. The specialist collaborates with agents, producers, and internal teams to clarify claim details, explain decisions, and support a smooth claims experience. The position also requires adherence to company procedures, participation in ongoing training, and effective time management to handle seasonal w
orkloads.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Insurance and crop insurance products, with the ability to interpret and apply policy terms and coverage guidelines is a plus.
Experience with Adjustments and loss assessment, including evaluating crop conditions, estimating damage, and calculating accurate indemnities.
Background in Insurance Claims and Claims Handling, with skills in documentation, investigation, and timely claim resolution.
Ability to assess Property Damage related to agricultural operations and accurately report findings in line with company standards.
Relevant experience in agriculture, agribusiness, or farm operations; understanding of crop production practices and regional agricultural conditions is a plus. Non-crop ag experience will be considered.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with producers, agents, and internal teams.
Comfort with remote work, including proficiency with digital tools, claims systems, and mobile technology; ability to work independently and manage schedules.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory when field inspections are required.
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in agriculture, business, or a related field is beneficial.
50% daily travel and mandatory overtime during peak busy seasons.
ability to climb grain bins up to 40 feet and walk long distances in inclemebt weather up to 2 miles.
