Company Description Spaulding for Children is a multi-faceted child welfare organization dedicated to providing prevention and permanency services for children and families. The agency’s mission is to ensure that every child who needs one has a permanent, nurturing family. Spaulding for Children delivers services through its Academy for Family Support and Preservation, the Institute for Family and Community Development, and Child and Family Services. These programs focus on prevention, foster care, and adoption, supporting caregivers and professionals with training, resources, and advocacy. Team members collaborate across programs to strengthen families and improve outcomes for children in diverse communities.
Role Description The Project Specialist is a high-level administrative role responsible for overseeing the operational and logistical coordination of Academy projects. This position ensures grant requirements, project priorities, and deliverables are effectively managed and executed. Key responsibilities include coordinating meetings and travel, overseeing purchasing and contracts, processing invoices, monitoring site expenses, and coordinating with program staff, consultants, and third-party vendors. The Project Specialist provides strategic administrative oversight and support to ensure the successful implementation and operation of Academy p
rojects.
The scope of work for this position is on a national level. The position is grant funded and the funding is guaranteed through September 2027. This position is hybrid for local employees and fully remote for non-local employees.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PPT, and Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
Ability to provide attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at one time
Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
