Plastics Buyer (Commodity / Category)

We are supporting a global Tier 1 automotive supplier in the search for a Commodity Buyer (Plastics) to join its organization in Querétaro. This is a cradle-to-grave purchasing role, with full ownership of the commodity lifecycle: from sourcing and business award, through projects, serial production, service, and end-of-life.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the assigned plastcs / resins commodity end-to-end, from sourcing through serial production, service, and phase-out.
Execute the commodity strategy aligned with cost reduction, localization dual sourcing strategies.
Manage supplier negotiations.
Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning and Finance teams.
Monitor market trends, conduct benchmarking, and ensure competitive global pricing.
Participate in new projects and material changes.
Job Offer:

Salary range of 45,000 - 50,000 pesos.

Profile Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in purchasing within automotive or commercial vehicle environments.
Proven background in resins / plastics commodities.
Savings through negotiations and VA/VE initiatives.
Experience working in global, matrixed, and multicultural environments.
Advanced business-level English.
Experience with SAP.
