Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Robotics Engineer role based in Delhi, India. The Robotics Engineer will design, develop, and test robotic systems and automation solutions for educational, scientific, and industrial applications. Daily responsibilities include creating and refining system architectures, programming and integrating hardware and software components, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic issues. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support production, assembly, and deployment of robotics and automation equipment in labs and training environments. The Robotics Engineer will also document designs, prepare technical reports, support demonstrations and trainings, and contribute to ongoing R&D initiatives aligned with SAGEDEL’s STEM and skill development mission.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in robotics, including robotic system design, integration, and testing.
Excellent analytical skills to diagnose issues, optimize performance, and improve processes.
Experience with process automation, including design and implementation of automated workflows.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and explaining technical concepts clearly.
Proficiency in software development relevant to robotics (e.g., C/C++, Python, ROS, embedded systems or PLC programming).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and control systems is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with CAD tools, simulation environments, and basic electronics design is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in a lab and production environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Interest in STEM education, vocational training, and contributing to skill development initiatives in India.
