Role Description The Director of Portfolio Management is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the planning, prioritization, and execution of initiatives across the fintech project portfolio. This role involves evaluating and aligning projects with strategic objectives, monitoring performance, and optimizing resource allocation across programs and portfolios. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, prepare portfolio reports and dashboards, and ensure risks, dependencies, and budgets are managed effectively. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project proposals, leading portfolio review meetings, refining processes and governance standards, and providing guidance to project and program managers to maximize value delivery and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills to assess project performance, financial impacts, risks, and strategic alignment
Expertise in portfolio management and project portfolio management to prioritize initiatives and manage a multi-project environment
Proficiency in program management and finance to oversee budgets, investments, and value realization across programs
Experience in fintech, financial services, or technology-driven organizations is highly beneficial
Demonstrated ability to lead remotely, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex information clearly
Familiarity with portfolio management tools, reporting dashboards, and data-driven decision-making
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business, engineering, information systems, or a related field
Track record of establishing governance frameworks and continuous improvement in portfolio processes
