Peskind Executive Search has been retained to identify a high-impact Account Growth Manager to expand relationships, increase platform adoption, and drive revenue growth across the company's existing customer base.
About the Role
The Account Growth Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing expansion opportunities within existing customer accounts.
This is a strategic, customer-facing sales role for someone who can combine relationship management with a strong commercial mindset. The Account Growth Manager will leverage customer insights, targeted outbound campaigns, product knowledge, and consultative conversations to identify opportunities for upsell and broader platform adoption.
The ideal candidate has a successful track record of growing existing SaaS accounts and is comfortable owning the full expansion sales cycle from opportunity identification and discovery through demonstration, proposal, negotiation, and close.
Key Responsibilities
Own the full upsell and account expansion sales cycle from opportunity identification and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close
Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of expansion opportunities across existing customer accounts
Analyze customer accounts to identify opportunities for additional products, solutions, and platform adoption
Plan and execute targeted outbound campaigns designed to increase customer engagement and generate expansion opportunities
Conduct consultative discovery to understand evolving customer needs, priorities, business requirements, and challenges
Lead virtual and in-person product demonstrations that clearly communicate value and support customer decision-making
Partner closely with Customer Success on business reviews and strategic customer conversations to uncover growth opportunities
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and subject matter experts to develop effective account growth strategies
Provide proactive product guidance to help customers maximize the value of the platform
Develop proposals and solution recommendations aligned with customer needs and business objectives
Follow up on demonstrations, proposals, and customer conversations to maintain momentum throughout the sales process
Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, account activity, and CRM documentation
Develop deep knowledge of target industries, customer challenges, and market trends
Represent the company at industry events and conferences while developing relationships with customers and industry stakeholders
Travel approximately 20–40% for customer meetings, conferences, and industry events
What Success Looks Like
Success means consistently identifying and converting expansion opportunities while strengthening long-term relationships across the existing customer base.
Top performers will be proactive, commercially minded, and highly consultative. They will understand how to uncover additional customer needs, connect those needs to relevant solutions, and translate strong customer relationships into measurable revenue growth.
Requirements
At least 3 consecutive years of demonstrated success in an upsell-focused software/SaaS sales or account growth role
Proven track record of expanding existing customer relationships and generating incremental revenue
Experience owning upsell or expansion opportunities from discovery through close
Strong consultative selling and relationship-management capabilities
Ability to uncover customer needs and translate them into relevant product and solution recommendations
Strong discovery, presentation, product demonstration, negotiation, and closing skills
Experience developing and executing outbound campaigns within an existing customer base
Ability to manage multiple accounts and sales opportunities simultaneously
Strong pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline
Working knowledge of Salesforce and modern sales processes
Experience collaborating with Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Sales, and other cross-functional teams
Experience working within a startup, scale-up, or fast-growing technology environment is highly desirable
Experience within GovTech, public-sector technology, compliance software, workforce technology, grant management, or another complex SaaS environment is preferred
Bachelor's degree, 2–3+ years of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to travel approximately 20–40%
