Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Jigani Industrial Area in Bengaluru, responsible for leading plant operations as Plant Head / General Manager Manufacturing / Manufacturing Operations Manager / EMS Manufacturing Leader. The role involves overseeing end-to-end manufacturing activities, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet volume, cost, and delivery targets. The leader will manage quality control processes, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. Daily responsibilities include monitoring key performance indicators, optimizing workflows, managing budgets, coordinating cross-functional teams, and supporting workforce development. The role also requires close collaboration with senior leadership to align plant performance with business objectives and customer expectations.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in plant operations and production management, with the ability to lead and optimize manufacturing processes.
Strong skills in production planning, including capacity planning, scheduling, and resource management to achieve operational targets.
Experience in quality control, with knowledge of quality standards, inspection methods, and corrective action processes.
Proficiency in budgeting and cost control, including monitoring expenses, improving efficiency, and supporting financial goals.
Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), managing diverse teams and fostering a safe, inclusive workplace.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and factory automation practices is beneficial.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively under time and production pressures.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across operations, supply chain, and quality functions.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
Experience in machinery or industrial manufacturing environments, preferably within large or multi-unit operations.
