Position Summary
The Vice President of Strategic Projects is a senior Operations leader and strategic partner to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). You are the ultimate force multiplier, helping drive the execution, coordination, and operational effectiveness of our 100+ person Operations organization. You will act as a strategic extension of the COO, driving operational effectiveness and execution across the organization, facilitating executive-level reporting and engagement with the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. You will do this by partnering with leaders throughout Yes Energy to align priorities, resolve complex business challenges, and deliver enterprise-wide outcomes. You will also ensure that priorities are clearly defined, that cross-functional initiatives remain on track, and that Operations leaders are aligned around company objectives.
Success in this role requires a unique combination of strategic thinking, operational rigor, exceptional communication, and the ability to influence without direct authority. The VP of Strategic Projects operates across the full spectrum of business challenges—from executive planning and organizational design to operational cadence, strategic projects, diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and executive communications.

Salary range: $230,000 - $260,000

Primary Responsibilities
Operations Team Leadership and Administration
Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the COO and leadership team on strategic priorities and key decisions
Drive decision-making on the COO’s behalf for designated operational and cross-functional matters, escalating when enterprise tradeoffs are required
Anticipate organizational, process, and technology needs as the company scales, leading initiatives to keep Operations positioned to scale effectively
Partner with the COO and Ops Leadership to set operational priorities, meeting cadences, and team processes
Translate company strategy into OKRs/goals, tracking cross-departmental progress to drive ownership, accountability, and measurable outcomes
Lead the annual budgeting and planning process for Operations, setting timelines, expectations, and partnering with the COO, People Operations, and Finance to ensure resourcing with strategic priorities
Strategic Initiatives
Identify and lead enterprise initiatives that improve scalability, operating leverage, customer outcomes, and long-term enterprise value.
Lead project management for M&A diligence and post-acquisition integration, ensuring clear ownership, milestones, and realized business outcomes
Team Management and Leadership
Build and lead a high-impact team focused on operational effectiveness, scalability, and cost efficiency with measurable business outcomes.
Lead change management efforts across Operations, evolving and operating rhythms as the company scales
Minimum Qualifications
15+ years of experience, with progressive responsibility in senior operating, strategy, or corporate development roles.
Large-scale program and change management experience with distributed, global teams
Corporate development experience, including M&A diligence and post-acquisition integration
Strong business and financial acumen, including experience connecting operational decisions to revenue, margin, customer, and enterprise-value outcomes
Experience supporting C-level executives
Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and balance strategic work with hands-on execution
Strong experience working with market data and SaaS systems
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to build trust across all levels of an organization
An executive presence that instills confidence in prospects, customers, the operations team, and Yes Energy
Ability to anticipate the needs and challenges of the Operations organization while balancing them against broader enterprise priorities and advocating for solutions that create company value.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration or another finance-related field
Experience serving and supporting SaaS customers
Knowledge of Yes Energy solutions
Knowledge of competitive solutions
