We are seeking an experienced SAP CO Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Controlling, Finance data conversion, data migration, and data-load activities for SAP implementation and transformation projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP CO processes and the ability to work closely with Finance, Accounting, business stakeholders, and technical data migration teams to ensure accurate and timely conversion of financial and controlling data into SAP.
Key Responsibilities
Provide functional expertise in SAP CO / S/4HANA Controlling throughout implementation and data migration projects.
Configure and support core SAP CO processes, including:
Cost Centers
Profit Centers
Internal Orders
Cost Elements / G/L Accounts
Allocations, Assessments, and Distributions
Period-End Closing and Controlling activities
Develop a strong understanding of FI/CO integration and its impact on financial and controlling data.
Work closely with Finance and Accounting teams to understand business requirements and define functional data conversion requirements.
Lead or support SAP Finance and Controlling data migration and data-load activities.
Analyze, cleanse, transform, map, and validate legacy financial and controlling data.
Prepare source-to-target mapping documents, transformation rules, and data-conversion specifications.
Coordinate master and transactional data loads across legacy systems and SAP.
Support migration and loading of:
Cost Centers
Profit Centers
Internal Orders
G/L Accounts / Finance data
Cost Elements
Other relevant Finance and Controlling master and transactional data
Perform data validation and reconciliation between legacy/source systems and SAP.
Investigate and resolve data-load errors, validation issues, mapping gaps, and reconciliation differences.
Collaborate with technical/data migration teams on data extraction, transformation, loading, and validation activities.
Participate in multiple mock conversion and data-load cycles, ensuring data quality and completeness.
Support SIT, UAT, cutover, dress rehearsal, and final production data loads.
Perform post-load validation and detailed financial and controlling reconciliation.
Support cutover activities, go-live, hypercare, and post-production stabilization.
Document migration issues, resolutions, functional requirements, and data validation results.
Work directly with Finance/business stakeholders to resolve functional and data-related issues.
Provide functional support and guidance to junior consultants and data migration teams when required.
