A Tourism Consultant at Incredible India contributes directly to these national objectives by supporting strategic and operational tourism initiatives.
Role Description This full-time, on-site Tourism Consultant role is based in Mumbai and supports the Incredible India initiatives under the Ministry of Tourism. The Tourism Consultant will design and recommend travel itineraries, tourism products, and destination experiences aligned with national and regional tourism priorities. Daily tasks include consulting with stakeholders, analyzing tourism trends, preparing reports and presentations, and supporting the development of marketing and promotional activities. The role involves interacting with domestic and international visitors, tourism partners, and local operators to enhance service quality and visitor satisfaction. The Tourism Consultant will also assist in organizing training workshops, participating in meetings and events, and coordinating with internal teams and external agencies to ensure effective implementation of tourism projects.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Travel Planning and Consulting skills to design itineraries, recommend tourism products, and advise stakeholders on best practices.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with visitors, partners, and internal teams in a professional and responsive manner.
Candidates should possess Training-related skills to support capacity-building programs, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions for tourism personnel.
Relevant experience in tourism, hospitality, destination management, or travel services, preferably with exposure to government or public sector initiatives.
Strong analytical and report-writing abilities, with proficiency in MS Office and basic data analysis tools.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, multicultural environment and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
Knowledge of Indian tourism destinations and trends; proficiency in English and at least one Indian language is an advantage.
