Role Description The Automation Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement automation solutions, including software, control systems, and IoT integrations for industrial and commercial applications. Daily responsibilities include analyzing requirements, configuring and programming control systems, testing and validating automation workflows, and troubleshooting system issues to ensure reliable operation. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, supporting installations and commissioning at client sites, documenting technical specifications, and continuously improving existing automation processes. The Automation Engineer will also help evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance solution quality and performance.
Qualifications
Strong Automation and Process Control skills to design, configure, and optimize automated systems
Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering for working with control panels, wiring, sensors, and industrial equipment
Experience with Robotics and related control technologies for deploying automated machinery and robotic cells
Proficient Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and integration issues
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related engineering field
Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and industrial communication protocols is highly beneficial
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to safety and quality standards
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients on-site
