Role Description The IT Officer is a full-time, remote role responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure and services. Daily tasks include monitoring systems and networks, providing technical support to internal teams, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and managing routine maintenance and updates. The IT Officer will assist with network administration, user account management, data backup procedures, and security best practices. The role also involves documenting IT processes, coordinating with vendors when necessary, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve system performance and reliability.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Information Technology knowledge with hands-on experience in general IT operations and tools.
Candidates should possess Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose, resolve, and document user and system issues efficiently.
Candidates should possess Network Administration skills, including basic configuration, monitoring, and securing network devices and services.
Candidates should possess System Administration skills for managing operating systems, user accounts, permissions, backups, and updates.
Candidates should possess good communication and collaboration skills to support remote teams and clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft or equivalent) are an advantage.
Experience with security practices, cloud-based tools, and remote support solutions is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and maintain high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
