Role Description The BIM Modeler is a full-time, remote position. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed Building Information Models for architectural projects, coordinating model elements with the project team, and ensuring that model data is accurate and up to date. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating 3D models, producing construction drawings and documentation, and supporting design development by translating sketches and design concepts into coordinated BIM outputs. The BIM Modeler will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, assist with clash detection and coordination of building systems, and follow firm standards for file organization, naming conventions, and quality control. The role may also involve preparing presentation materials, assisting with revisions based on reviewer feedback, and contributing to the continuous improvement of BIM workflows and templates.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, including experience developing and managing coordinated project models.
Foundational knowledge of Architecture, including building design concepts, building systems, and project documentation standards.
Experience as a Modeler or similar role, with the ability to translate design intent into accurate, detailed digital models.
Understanding of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination within BIM environments and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to produce clear, accurate Construction Drawings and related documentation from BIM models.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining data integrity and consistent modeling standards.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
Relevant education in architecture, engineering, drafting, or a related field; professional experience in an architectural or construction environment is preferred.
Familiarity with building codes, construction practices, and project delivery processes is beneficial.
