The Opportunity
As a Senior Manager in ISTARI's Advisory practice, you are at the heart of our client mission, responsible for delivering key components of our most complex cybersecurity engagements - bringing deep security architecture expertise to bear on how clients design, secure, and modernise their enterprise environments. You will be a cornerstone of our project teams, working across multiple stakeholders and ensuring that all deliverables meet our standards of excellence.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape client security architecture and strategy on large-scale advisory projects, while honing your expertise in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What You'll Do
Delivery & Execution: Delivers key components of advisory engagements, leads project workstreams, and ensures deliverables meet client requirements - producing status reports and flagging risks or delays early.
Enterprise Security Architecture: Defines and shapes enterprise security reference architectures, blueprints, and technical standards aligned to client cybersecurity strategy and risk profile. Leads secure architecture reviews for new platforms, system integrations, and modernisation initiatives, ensuring alignment with Zero Trust principles across identity, network, cloud, infrastructure, and application domains.
Cloud Security: Designs and advises on secure cloud architectures - including workload protection, network segmentation, identity integration, and secure connectivity - and supports clients in establishing cloud security baselines aligned to recognised standards.
Identity & Access Management: Advises on IAM architecture standards covering authentication, authorisation, privileged access, federation, and conditional access policies, enforcing least-privilege and role-based access models.
Application & Platform Security: Guides clients in embedding secure-by-design principles across the SDLC and DevSecOps processes, including threat modelling, secure design reviews, and risk assessments for business-critical applications.
Governance & Risk Alignment: Translates enterprise risk scenarios into architectural standards and technical control requirements, supporting clients in managing architecture deviations and security exceptions through a risk-based framework.
Business Development: Supports Directors, Principals and Partners in creating proposals, solutions, and other client-facing materials.
What You'll Bring
Experience: ~10+ years in cybersecurity consulting or security architecture, with direct experience designing and delivering cyber solutions for clients.
Expertise: Direct cyber architecture expertise and delivery of cyber projects is essential. You are a resilient, self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and possesses deepening expertise in at least one technical or solution area.
Specialised Knowledge: Demonstrable experience in two or more key areas, such as security architecture, cloud security (Azure/AWS), identity and access management, securing critical infrastructure, third-party risk management, or cyber risk quantification.
Frameworks & Standards: Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks, and Zero Trust principles.
Key Skills: You are client-focused, collaborative, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work credibly with senior stakeholders like the CISO and CIO.

Quality and technical rigor of security architecture deliverables - blueprints, standards, and design reviews.
Effectively managing key stakeholders, including ISTARI, the client, and portfolio companies.
Ensuring the quality assurance and production of high-caliber, client-ready materials such as presentations and reports.
