We are looking for a motivated and meticulous Assistant Cost Manager to join our team, supporting the delivery of a major infrastructure project. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy and experienced cost management team, playing a key role in the accurate capture, allocation, and reporting of project costs.

Role Responsibilities
Support the Cost Management team with the accurate capture and allocation of project costs.
Assist with the collation, input, and maintenance of cost data across the project.
Process and support purchase ledger and invoicing activities.
Produce accurate labour, plant, and materials cost reports.
Maintain project cost records and ensure information is entered correctly and efficiently.
Support the preparation of cost reports and financial information for project teams and stakeholders.
Assist with the reconciliation and validation of cost data.
Work collaboratively with operational, commercial, and project teams to ensure cost information is up to date and accurate.
Help identify and resolve discrepancies within financial and project cost records.
Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to project cost management processes.
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
Experience in an administrative, finance, commercial, or project support role.
Strong diligence and the ability to work accurately with numerical data.
Experience using Microsoft Excel to manage, analyse, and report information.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Effective communication and people skills.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships.
Experience supporting cost control, financial administration, or project reporting activities is advantageous.
Knowledge of project cost management processes would be beneficial.
Experience using COINS or similar financial management systems is desirable but not essential.
GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications).

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
