Role Description The Polymer Engineer will work full time in a hybrid arrangement, primarily based at the Hyderabad facility with some flexibility for work from home. This role involves developing and optimizing rubber and polymer formulations for custom-moulded components, oil seals, gaskets, and related products. The Polymer Engineer will conduct material testing, analyze performance data, and collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient extrusion processes and consistent product quality. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting R&D initiatives, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, preparing technical documentation, and working closely with quality assurance and customer-facing teams to meet client specifications. The role also requires participation in continuous improvement projects, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and contribution to scaling up new products for bulk production.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong knowledge in Polymer Engineering and practical experience working with Polymers in industrial applications.
Candidates should possess skills in Polymer Science and Research and Development (R&D) for developing and improving rubber and polymer formulations.
Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Extrusion & molding processes and related manufacturing technologies.
Candidates should possess familiarity with rubber processing, moulding techniques, and quality control standards in industrial manufacturing.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in interpreting test data and material performance results.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams in production, quality, and sales.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience in industrial rubber components, OEM manufacturing, or automotive/engineering applications is an advantage.
