Technical Coordinator, Commercial Lines Underwriting Support

Summary: Under limited supervision and with significant independent judgment, responsible for assisting in the achievement of productivity, quality, efficiency, consistency, and business goals by developing, promulgating and monitoring performance to best practices, supporting staff skill development, and serving as an underwriting support subject matter expert.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
In cooperation with leadership, ensures commercial lines underwriting support best practices by:
Researches, develops, and implements policies, procedures and processes to promote consistency
Develops and delivers job skills training and development programs to commercial lines underwriting support staff
Identifies skill gaps relative to underwriting support best practices and provides performance improvement consulting and support
Monitors the performance of the underwriting support function and makes recommendations for continuous improvement
Acts as a subject matter expert, providing underwriting support expertise
Develops and executes effective underwriting support internal quality control processes and procedures to ensure a consistent work product, including the design and coordination of underwriting support internal quality review processes
Serves as Business Lead and/or resource on corporate projects representing the rating function
Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Designations And Licenses
AINS, AU preferred
