Role Description The Founder will lead the overall strategy, operations, and growth of Kunjbihari Saree Collection in a full-time, on-site role based in Nathnagar. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing sourcing and selection of sarees and related products, managing vendor relationships, and negotiating pricing to maintain quality and profitability. The role involves supervising in-store activities, guiding sales staff, and ensuring a high standard of customer service and store presentation. The Founder will manage budgets, monitor inventory levels, and analyze sales data to support informed business decisions. Additional tasks include local marketing initiatives, brand development, setting long-term business goals, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and business policies.
Qualifications
Strong business management skills, including budgeting, basic accounting, and decision-making for small retail operations.
Experience or demonstrated interest in textiles, fashion, or traditional Indian clothing, especially sarees and related products.
Ability to manage vendor and supplier relationships, including negotiation and sourcing from multiple markets.
Customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport, handle inquiries, and resolve issues in a retail environment.
Organizational and operational skills for managing inventory, store layout, and daily shop activities.
Basic marketing and promotion capabilities, including local outreach, social media familiarity, and simple branding initiatives.
Leadership qualities to guide staff, set clear expectations, and create an inclusive, respectful workplace.
Comfort working on-site full time in Nathnagar and managing hands-on responsibilities in a physical retail setting.
Prior experience in retail, textiles, or small business ownership is highly beneficial, though motivated candidates with related experience will be considered.
