In this role, you'll learn and apply specialized aerospace finishing techniques while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Whether you have experience in automotive painting, industrial coatings, manufacturing, or are looking to grow your skills in aerospace, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
As a Painter I, you will play a key role in preparing and finishing aircraft components to the highest quality standards by:
Preparing parts for painting through cleaning, sanding, stripping, masking, and surface preparation
Applying primers, paints, and specialty coatings using spray equipment and other approved methods
Following technical specifications, work instructions, and engineering drawings
Mixing paints and coating materials according to manufacturer requirements
Inspecting finished surfaces to ensure exceptional appearance and quality
Performing touch-ups and rework as needed
Maintaining paint equipment, spray booths, and work areas
Following all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Completing production and quality documentation accurately
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and collaborating with teammates across departments
Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow detailed instructions and specifications
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in painting, industrial coatings, manufacturing, automotive refinishing, or aerospace environments
Experience operating spray paint equipment
Vocational training in painting, coatings, automotive refinishing, or a related field
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or quality-focused production environments

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
Ability to wear respirators, protective clothing, and required PPE
Ability to work in paint booths and manufacturing environments with exposure to coatings, chemicals, and varying temperatures
Work Environment:
This position is based in a manufacturing and aerospace repair environment where quality, safety, and teamwork are essential. Overtime opportunities may be available to support customer delivery schedules.
