Senior Security Analyst-Remote Texas only

Fulcrum Technology Solutions are helping a client that is seeking an experienced Senior Security Analyst to join a growing cybersecurity operations team. This is a hands-on operational security role focused on monitoring, investigating, and resolving security events while continuously improving the organization's security posture. The ideal candidate is technically strong, enjoys mentoring junior analysts, and takes a proactive approach to threat detection and response.
This person MUST be located in Texas. It is REMOTE TEXAS.
Responsibilities
Investigate, analyze, and resolve security alerts and operational security tickets.
Perform security event triage and determine appropriate remediation actions.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve threat hunting capabilities and detection strategies.
Monitor security events and collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce organizational risk.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior security analysts.
Assist with improving security operations processes, workflows, and documentation.
Participate in incident investigations and support response efforts as needed.
Stay current on emerging threats, attack techniques, and defensive best practices.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of cybersecurity or information security experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong understanding of security operations, incident analysis, and threat detection.
Experience investigating and resolving security incidents in an enterprise environment.
Ability to analyze security events and determine appropriate remediation actions.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Experience mentoring or leading junior security professionals.
One or more industry certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within the healthcare industry.
Experience with CrowdStrike technologies, particularly CrowdStrike Next-Gen SIEM.
Experience with threat hunting methodologies and continuous security improvement initiatives.
