Illumio Security Engineer

Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Illumio L3 Security Engineer with expertise in microsegmentation, network security, and perimeter firewalls. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Illumio solutions in enterprise environments while providing L3 troubleshooting and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage Illumio microsegmentation solutions.
Create and maintain security policies, labels, and rulesets.
Perform application dependency mapping and workload segmentation.
Troubleshoot complex Illumio, connectivity, and policy-related issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and support security audits.
Collaborate with server, cloud, network, and application teams.
Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide L3 escalation support.
Required Skills
6+ years of experience in Cyber Security / Network Security.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Illumio Core.
Strong understanding of microsegmentation and Zero Trust concepts.
Hands-on experience with perimeter firewalls such as:
Palo Alto
Fortinet FortiGate
Check Point
Cisco Firepower/ASA
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, NAT, VPN, and security troubleshooting.
Experience with Windows and Linux environments.
Good to Have
Knowledge of Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA).
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Exposure to SIEM platforms and security automation.
Preferred Certifications
Illumio Certified Professional (ICP)
PCNSE / Fortinet FCP
CCNP Security / CISSP
