Risk Manager

Job Description Summary
The Risk Manager will be responsible for leading Quantitative risk analysis (monte carlo simulations) across multiple projects, developing a Risk Management Plan and driving identification, evaluation, treatment and overall governance of project risks. This is a critical role requiring strong leadership, Self-Initiation, strong hands-on experience in Primavera and industry standard Risk tools such as SAFRAN.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Services as an expert and primary point of contact for Risk Tool (SAFRAN), involving Quantitative and Qualitative Risk Analysis across multiple projects.
Lead and manage Risk & Opportunity identification, deep dives & mitigation actions (throughout the entire Project life cycle) including a diligent follow-up and problem solving rigor on open risk mitigation actions.
Ability to demonstrate good leadership, influencing and management skills including the ability to work independently and communicate effectively within and across all levels of the organization.
Enable Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Project Management, PMO, functional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure Risk Management priorities are understood, aligned, and delivered.
Leads risk related daily management routines, operational risk reviews, risk reporting and performance/trend tracking, and support leaders in resolving bottlenecks through structured problem solving.
Benchmark internal & external risk management processes best practices.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited university or college
Proficient in using industry standard tools for Risk analysis involving Monte-Carlo simulations – such as SAFRAN or equivalent.
At least 6-8 years of relevant work experience (nuclear industry experience, or power industry experience in project management, risk management, project controls, construction management, contracts management or equivalent).
At least 3 years of risk management or project controls experience
Solid understanding of power projects life cycle, project risk management principles, relevant technical, financial and Contract terms.
Ability to handle many complex issues/projects concurrently
Willingness and ability to travel 20% of the time
Desired Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft suite, Primavera and Risk management system.
Demonstrated leadership in a matrix environment
Strong execution discipline and Say-Do ratio, with consistent follow-through
Thrives in high-demand, detail oriented & multi-priority environments
Strategic thinker with a track record for developing innovative solutions to difficult business problems.
Project/Construction management or Project Controls experience in power industry.
Technical knowledge of commercial nuclear reactors & associated systems.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leaderships skills

This is a remote position
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $102,700.00 and $171,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
