Role Overview
We are seeking an innovative and execution-focused technology executive for the position of Vice President of Global Information Technology. Based in the United States, you will define and execute the technology strategy, global infrastructure scaling, and digital transformation roadmaps for our international business operations and portfolio support.
Reporting directly to the Group CIO, you will act as a critical driver in modernizing enterprise platforms, optimizing secure cloud environments, and implementing cutting-edge technology integrations that directly empower our investment lifecycles.
This is a Hybrid role offering executive remote work autonomy combined with strategic on-site leadership and cross-functional corporate alignment in our US hubs (e.g., New York City).
Key Responsibilities
Strategic IT Leadership: Formulate and deliver a scalable global IT blueprint aligned with Kotak Alts’ business objectives and value-creation targets.
Enterprise Infrastructure & Cloud: Oversee the security, performance, and scaling of global enterprise infrastructure and modern cloud architecture (AWS/Azure).
Application Frameworks & FinTech Operations: Manage core institutional investment systems, data analytics platforms, investor relationship management frameworks, and ERP integrations.
M&A Tech Due Diligence Support: Collaborate closely with the Private Equity investment committee to perform high-level technology and digital maturity due diligence on potential target companies.
Global IT Governance & Compliance: Enforce stringent regulatory alignment, data privacy standards, and business continuity protocols (e.g., SEC, FINRA, and international financial compliance regulations).
Vendor & Budget Stewardship: Orchestrate global vendor ecosystems, negotiate major SaaS/infrastructure contracts, and optimize capital and operational IT expenditures (CAPEX/OPEX).
Distributed Team Empowerment: Lead, upskill, and manage multicultural, distributed tech teams across global geographies, building a high-performing engineering culture.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an MBA with a strong technology emphasis.
Experience: Minimum of 12–15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing global IT operations in enterprise financial ecosystems.
Industry Background: Strong domain expertise within Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, or highly regulated Global Financial Services (BFSI).
Technical Acumen: Comprehensive mastery of multi-cloud architectures, cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), advanced analytics, and data-driven financial systems.
Leadership Capabilities: Outstanding stakeholder influence and relationship-building skills; capable of aligning tech priorities seamlessly across the global C-suite and investment partners.
