Position Overview
This skilled position as a Project Engineer Intern involves the assisting and management as directed by Estimator/Project Managers and/or Supervisors in Yellowstone National Park.
**The position will require the applicant to live within the boundaries of Yellowstone National Park at a remote site to assist the management team in delivering a quality product to the client.**
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Actively participate in acquisition and maintenance of permits, City, Vehicle, SWPPP, etc.
Assist in daily production data entry and maintain projects schedules.
Add Phases at the request of the Superintendents. Distribute project documents to field.
Attend pre-construction, project hand-off, cost reviews, and project job progress meetings
Verify aggregate pricing, quantity, and coding daily
Process change orders and T&M work tickets as needed by the Project Managers
Assist with purchase orders, submittals, and project supplier quotes
Assist estimating team with RFI logs, change orders, and submittals
Adhere to and be a champion for company safety programs.
Ensure compliance with all company and governmental regulations.
Provide training certifications to customers as requested
Additional Responsibilities (As Needed & Directed by Operations Manager)
Estimate and manage projects assigned by the Operations or Estimating Manager.
Attend weekly partnering meetings.
Maintain estimating bidding log and pipeline
Perform other duties as assigned by Operations, Estimating and/or General Manager.
Qualifications

Education/Experience
Enrolled in a program for a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other related field. 0 - 5 years construction experience is preferred with; or an equivalent of education and experience will be accepted
Work Requirements
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. .
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute, rate, ration, percent, land to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Database software.
