Remote | $70/hour W-2 | Healthcare IT | Contract
We are seeking a senior Scrum Master with Data Analytics and Data Platform experience to coach teams operating within a Scaled Agile environment.
This is not a traditional software-development Scrum Master role. The teams supported by this position manage a combination of planned and unplanned operational work, including production support, incidents, service requests, maintenance, reliability, compliance and enhancements.
The ideal candidate understands how to apply **SAFe, Scrum and Kanban** pragmatically to data, platform and operations teams.
## What You'll Do
* Coach Data Analytics, Data Platform, DataOps and platform operations teams.
* Help teams manage planned and interrupt-driven work.
* Improve backlog management, work intake, triage and prioritization.
* Help teams manage capacity, dependencies, WIP and workflow.
* Coach teams on when to use Scrum, Kanban or hybrid approaches.
* Support PI Planning, iteration planning, retrospectives, ART synchronization and Inspect & Adapt.
* Improve operational metrics including throughput, aging work, response time, resolution time, flow efficiency and predictability.
* Partner with RTEs, Product/Service leaders, engineering leaders and Agile Coaches.
* Help leaders establish effective operating models for platform and shared-service teams.
* Provide Scrum Master support across approximately 2–3 teams.
## Required Qualifications
* 8+ years of Scrum Master experience.
* 3+ years coaching Data Analytics, Data Platform Administration, DataOps, data operations or platform operations teams.
* 4+ years of healthcare insurance experience.
* SAFe Scrum Master subject-matter expertise.
* Strong Kanban experience.
* Jira experience.
* Experience coaching teams handling operational support, interrupt-driven demand, platform maintenance, reliability/stability and enhancement work.
* Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple teams and dependencies.
* Strong facilitation, coaching and stakeholder-management skills.
* Ability to adapt Agile practices to the actual work environment.
* U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Jira Align.
* Scrum or SAFe certification.
* Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS or GCP experience.
* BI, API or enterprise data-services experience.
* Experience in regulated or highly governed environments.
* Platform reliability, observability, service management or operational excellence experience.
## Location and Schedule
**100% Remote
Candidates must be able to work the required EST/CST hours, with the organization operating on EST hours.
## Compensation and Contract
*$70/hour W-2 — rate is firm
Contract duration: 3 months - 12 months
The role is expected to have extensions into 2027.
