Role Description The Vice President of Technology is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing the firm’s technology vision, strategy, and execution. This role includes developing and implementing IT roadmaps that support investment banking operations, digital platforms, and data security. The Vice President of Technology will lead technology projects, manage IT vendors, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives to improve systems reliability, scalability, and performance. Daily responsibilities involve guiding the technology team, aligning IT strategy with business goals, monitoring project milestones, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The role also requires collaboration with senior leadership to identify innovation opportunities, optimize technology investments, and support long-term strategic planning.
Qualifications
Strong Information Technology and IT Strategy skills, with experience designing and implementing enterprise technology architectures.
Proven Project Management capabilities, including leading cross-functional initiatives, managing timelines and budgets, and delivering technology solutions at scale.
Advanced Analytical Skills for data-driven decision making, risk assessment, and performance measurement in complex business environments.
Strategic Planning experience, particularly in aligning technology initiatives with organizational growth, innovation, and operational efficiency.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams, mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Background in financial services, fintech, or investment banking technology environments is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, cloud infrastructure, and integration of digital tools and workflows.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, cloud certifications) are an advantage.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for diverse stakeholders.
