Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Operations Resident Engineer to provide hands-on technical support and operational expertise for a large-scale enterprise network environment.
The engineer will be responsible for maintaining network availability and performance, troubleshooting complex issues, supporting network upgrades and migrations, and helping drive continuous improvements across the networking infrastructure.
This role requires strong experience with enterprise networks, switching, routing, wireless technologies, network operations, and customer-facing technical support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational support for enterprise network infrastructure.
Monitor network health, performance, availability, and capacity.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and service issues.
Perform root-cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions.
Support network upgrades, migrations, expansions, and infrastructure refresh initiatives.
Assist with hardware replacement, software upgrades, and network lifecycle activities.
Develop implementation, testing, validation, and rollback plans.
Maintain network documentation, configuration standards, procedures, and operational runbooks.
Collaborate with network engineering, infrastructure, security, and technical support teams.
Serve as a technical point of contact for network-related operational activities.
Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
Identify opportunities to improve network reliability, performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and mentoring to internal and customer teams.
Participate in operational reviews, technical meetings, and major incident activities.
Support network modernization and technology transformation initiatives.
Technical Requirements
5+ years of experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments.
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise switching and routing.
Experience with Juniper EX Series and QFX Series switching platforms.
Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts.
Experience with OSPF and BGP.
Experience supporting large-scale campus network deployments and operations.
Experience with Mist Wireless Assurance, Mist Wired Assurance, and Marvis AI.
Experience supporting large-scale wireless deployments and migration initiatives.
Strong troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience supporting network migrations, upgrades, modernization, and infrastructure refresh projects.
Experience working with technical support and engineering organizations.
Strong customer-facing communication and relationship management skills.
Ability to work independently and serve as a trusted technical resource.
Excellent documentation, presentation, and knowledge-transfer skills.
Experience supporting production network environments in large enterprise organizations.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Experience with EVPN/VXLAN architectures.
Experience with large-scale network migrations and modernization.
Experience with AI-driven network operations and analytics.
Experience with network monitoring and performance optimization.
