Clinical Operations Manager

Your Role:
Lead high-performing clinical research teams to accelerate AbbVie’s pipeline and bring innovative therapies to patients. As a Clinical Operations Manager, you will drive clinical trial excellence through strategic leadership, operational oversight, and strong partnerships with research sites, investigators, and cross-functional stakeholders.
You will be accountable for study delivery, team performance, resource optimization, and quality execution while positioning AbbVie as a trusted partner in clinical research.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and coach Clinical Research Associates and site-facing teams to deliver outstanding performance.
Drive the successful execution of clinical trials, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
Provide strategic oversight of study planning, feasibility, resource allocation, and risk management.
Build strong partnerships with investigators, KOLs, research sites, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and R&D stakeholders.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, local regulations, and AbbVie policies, maintaining audit and inspection readiness.
Leverage data and performance metrics to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and improve operational outcomes.
Lead and support local and global initiatives that enhance clinical research capabilities and accelerate pipeline delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medicine, or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years of clinical monitoring experience.
Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, clinical trial operations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Experience managing multiple studies, therapeutic areas, and/or phases of clinical development.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
Demonstrated ability to navigate complexity, ambiguity, and evolving business priorities.
Track record of driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and innovation.
Strong organizational skills, decision-making capability, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Ability to build trusted partnerships and inspire high-performing teams.
