Contract AI-Native Software Engineer opportunity - £460 per day - Fully Remote - 6 months - Outside IR35

Morson Edge are working with a team redefining how software is delivered using agentic workflows and multi-agent systems. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building real, production-grade systems powered by AI.
What you’ll be doing:
Designing and building AI-native, backend systems (Java)
Orchestrating multi-agent workflows to accelerate delivery
Implementing AI-assisted development practices across the lifecycle
Building validation and quality frameworks for AI-generated code
Working within existing platforms to introduce modern, agentic approaches
What they’re looking for:
Strong backend engineering experience (Java)
Experience with the Spec Driven Development methodology
Experience with distributed systems & APIs
Hands-on use of AI-assisted or agentic development workflows
Understanding of testing, CI/CD, observability
Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
