Role Overview
Seeking a Lead ETL Developer to provide architecture guidance, technical leadership, and hands-on oversight for a data conversion and modernization initiative. This role is responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying data ingestion pipelines that extract data from a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery environment into enterprise SQL data warehouses. The Lead ETL Developer will mentor a team of developers, validate enterprise data models, and ensure high standards of data quality, performance, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of ETL and data ingestion processes supporting data migration from GCP BigQuery to SQL-based data warehouse environments.
Architect and implement data pipelines using modern ETL tools and cloud-native data processing frameworks.
Train and mentor a team of 4+ ETL developers on coding standards, best practices, and data model design.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to validate data requirements and align with reporting and analytical needs.
Formulate and execute robust testing strategies to ensure complete data integrity, accuracy, and completeness throughout the migration process.
Optimize data pipelines for scalability, high performance, and ongoing maintainability.
Validate transactional and analytical data models to ensure all necessary data elements are present for downstream business intelligence and application solutions.
Deliver clear technical documentation, presentations, and status updates for both technical and business audiences.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 7 years of hands-on ETL development experience.
Expertise in modern ETL and reporting/BI tools.
Strong understanding of enterprise data models and ETL pipeline design best practices.
Proven background as a Technical Lead guiding teams of 4 or more developers.
Demonstrated experience with Google Cloud Dataform.
Demonstrated experience with BigQuery.
Demonstrated experience with Medallion Architecture.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Additional Details
Candidates must be available for interviews scheduled between September 30 and October 2, 2026.
Selected candidates must successfully complete background check investigations, including fingerprinting and required waiver form processing, prior to start.
