Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Counseling Psychologist based in Chandigarh, India. The Counseling Psychologist will provide individual, group, and family counseling to clients experiencing a range of emotional and psychological concerns, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Daily responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, formulating treatment plans, maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records, and monitoring clients’ progress. The role also involves collaborating with other mental health professionals, participating in case discussions, and contributing to outreach or psychoeducational initiatives as needed. The Counseling Psychologist will ensure ethical practice, uphold professional standards, and support a safe, inclusive environment for clients from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, person-centered therapy, solution-focused approaches).
Strong skills in psychological assessment, case formulation, treatment planning, and outcome evaluation.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse populations.
Ability to maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation and manage caseloads in a structured, organized manner.
Master’s degree or higher in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Relevant licensure, registration, or eligibility to practice as per local regulatory requirements in India.
Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, cultural sensitivity, and trauma-informed care.
Experience working in a clinical, hospital, community, or mental health setting is highly beneficial.
3 to 4 year of experience. Working with couples.
