About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled MuleSoft Developer (Contingent) to join our team remotely. This position is contingent upon the successful award of a government contract, and candidates will be supporting federal programs with a focus on integration and platform management. The MuleSoft Developer will play a vital role in supporting, deploying, and maintaining MuleSoft Anypoint Platform environments, including Private Cloud Edition (PCE). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in MuleSoft technologies, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps practices, enabling them to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable integration solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects within a federal government context, contributing to mission-critical systems and services.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a combination of educational background and practical experience, including a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible for security clearance. Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ are required. Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform Private Cloud Edition (PCE) and relevant platform technologies including Linux, Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD tools, networking, and security is essential. Familiarity with MuleSoft components such as Mule Runtime 4.x, DataWeave, APIs, and Mule flows is highly desirable. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills are necessary to succeed in this role. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with MuleSoft PCE, Kubernetes, automation tools like Docker, Helm, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, and experience supporting highly regulated environments such as federal or DoD agencies. Relevant MuleSoft certifications, including Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Developer or Platform Architect, are advantageous.
Responsibilities
The MuleSoft Developer will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting MuleSoft Anypoint Platform Private Cloud Edition environments. Key responsibilities include supporting platform installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management. The role involves deploying and managing MuleSoft applications and APIs across multiple environments, supporting underlying infrastructure components such as Linux, Kubernetes, containers, and networking. Monitoring platform health, performance, and operational metrics to identify and resolve issues promptly is critical. The candidate will support automation and CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, Terraform, and Ansible. Managing platform security, including certificates, secrets, access controls, and encryption, is a vital aspect of the role. Collaboration with developers, architects, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders is essential to deliver secure and reliable integration solutions. The role also entails supporting high availability, disaster recovery, platform upgrades, migrations, and release management activities. Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures while ensuring compliance with security and DevSecOps standards is required.
