Position Summary
The Mortgage Payroll Processor has deep expertise in commission structures, multi-state compliance, and compensation agreements within the mortgage industry. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll operations, accounting principles, and employee support. The Mortgage Payroll Processor is proactive, analytical, and capable of managing complex payroll scenarios with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Administer end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Interpret and apply complex commission plans and compensation agreements for mortgage professionals.
Maintain detailed records of compensation adjustments, bonuses, and overrides.
Collaborate with Finance and HR teams to align payroll with organizational goals and P&L statements.
Reconcile payroll transactions with accounting systems and assist in financial reporting.
Provide expert-level support to employees regarding payroll inquiries, deductions, and earnings.
Monitor legislative changes affecting payroll and ensure timely updates to processes and systems.
Required Qualifications
Strong knowledge of commission-based compensation structures.
Experience with multi-state payroll compliance and reporting.
Familiarity with profit and loss (P&L) statements and their impact on payroll decisions.
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
