SAP ABAP Developer

One of our Berkshire Hathaway portfolio companies is hiring an SAP ABAP Developer based anywhere in the U.S. (remote).
This position requires a strong technical background and should be considered a technical role, not a functional SAP role.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and reusable components.
Build backend solutions using ABAP (CDS views, AMDP, OData services, RAP).
Develop and support integrations using SAP Integration Suite, PO/PI, CPI.
Participate in full software development lifecycle and agile practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Functional Analysts, BASIS, Security, Integration).
Ensure compliance with SAP security standards and data protection policies.
Stay current with SAP innovations (SAP BTP, Build, Workzone, Joule).
Support mentoring, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
Participate in S/4HANA implementations and custom code migration to SAP BTP.
Apply functional knowledge of SAP modules (FICO, SD, MM, HCM/HR, Payroll/Benefits &
Timekeeping).
Demonstrate operational excellence by monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production
issues, including participating in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.
Minimum Qualifications
Authorized to work in the United States.
Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Full Stack ABAP Development (ABAP, CDS, OData, Fiori/UI5, PI/PO)
Minimum 6+ years of SAP configuration and support of HCM/Payroll/Time.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline.
