Software Engineer

Remote — Must reside in San Francisco Bay Area, California
Base Salary: $190,000

This is a remote position, but applicants must currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
The ideal candidate has a foundation in computer science, experience programming in at least one general-purpose language, and a working understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Debug and troubleshoot software issues
Apply data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles to software-development problems
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Collaborate with other technical professionals to solve engineering problems
Work with modern development tools and version-control systems
Learn and apply new technologies as project requirements evolve
Basic Qualifications
Must currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, California
Must be 18 years of age or older
Experience programming in at least one general-purpose language, such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
Understanding of data structures, basic algorithms, and/or object-oriented programming
Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively in a technical work environment
Currently authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration support now or in the future
Location Requirement
This is a remote position, but applicants must currently be physically located in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Applicants residing outside the the San Francisco Bay Area will not be considered for this opening.
