Job Summary
Walmart is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer with strong experience in building scalable, high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in React.js, JavaScript, Node.js, and GraphQL, with a focus on delivering responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces and exceptional user experiences.
Required Skills
Strong experience with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, and GraphQL
Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, and Responsive Web Design
Experience building scalable, high-performance web applications
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs
Experience implementing pixel-perfect UI from design specifications
Front-end performance optimization (PageSpeed, Lighthouse, lazy loading, code splitting, etc.)
Cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
Experience with Git/GitHub
Knowledge of XML and XSLT
Experience with deployment tools such as Capistrano or equivalent CI/CD tools
Strong experience with Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
Develop scalable front-end applications using React.js
Build responsive, interactive, and user-friendly web interfaces
Implement animations, transitions, and dynamic UI components
Integrate GraphQL and REST APIs
Optimize application performance and page load speed
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
Debug and resolve front-end issues
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers throughout the development lifecycle
