Executive General Adjuster (EGA)

Vanguard Claims Administration, LLC (VCA) is seeking an experienced Executive General Adjuster to join our team. This is a senior-level opportunity for an accomplished claims professional with extensive experience handling complex, high-value commercial property losses and Lloyd’s of London claims to handle claims in New Jersey and the surrounding states.
The Executive General Adjuster will independently manage sophisticated claims while serving as a senior technical resource to clients, carriers, and fellow claims professionals. This position requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage complex losses from investigation through resolution.
What You’ll Do
Investigate and manage complex, high-value residential and commercial property claims, including Lloyd’s of London losses.
Conduct detailed property inspections and document damage through photographs, estimates, field notes, and other investigative materials.
Analyze coverage, causation, scope of damage, and financial exposure and make well-supported claim recommendations.
Prepare accurate, comprehensive, and timely reports and correspondence in accordance with carrier requirements and SLAs.
Develop structural damage estimates for severe and complex losses using Xactimate.
Work closely with attorneys, engineers, architects, contractors, public adjusters, experts, carrier representatives, and other stakeholders.
Identify potential subrogation, salvage, recovery, and fraud concerns.
Serve as a senior technical resource and mentor to General Adjusters, Field Adjusters, and developing claims professionals.
Provide guidance on complex or escalated claims and assist with quality review of claim files and reports.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, policyholders, and other business partners.
Maintain accurate claim documentation while protecting confidential information and complying with VCA's SOC 2 security and data protection requirements.
Travel as necessary for inspections, meetings, and other claim-related activities.
What We’re Looking For
7+ years of property claims adjusting experience, with significant commercial property experience.
Extensive experience handling large, complex, and high-value claims.
Lloyd’s of London claims experience required.
Strong knowledge of commercial property insurance policies, coverage, construction, and building systems.
Advanced Xactimate skills and experience with claims management systems.
Strong report-writing, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently manage a complex workload and exercise sound judgment.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to other adjusters.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Active adjuster license(s) in applicable states.
High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel as required.
