VP of Marketing

Role Description The VP of Marketing is a full-time remote role responsible for leading IKONIK Magazine’s overall marketing vision and execution. This role oversees development of integrated marketing strategies that grow audience reach, strengthen brand positioning, and drive qualified leads and partnerships. Day-to-day tasks include building and refining marketing plans, managing campaigns across digital channels, and aligning marketing initiatives with editorial and business goals. The VP of Marketing will collaborate closely with leadership, editorial, and partnerships teams to ensure consistent messaging, optimize marketing performance, and support revenue growth. Responsibilities also include managing budgets, guiding market research, overseeing public relations activities, and mentoring a small team or external partners.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Market Planning and Marketing Management to develop and execute cohesive, multi-channel marketing strategies.
Experience in Market Research to analyze audiences, trends, and competitors and translate insights into actionable marketing plans.
Proficiency in Marketing across digital and traditional channels, including campaign design, measurement, and optimization.
Background in Public Relations to build media relationships, manage press outreach, and support thought leadership initiatives.
Proven leadership experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within media, publishing, or brand-focused platforms.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, managing projects, deadlines, and cross-functional collaboration.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for brand storytelling and audience engagement.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
Experience with analytics tools, CRM and marketing automation platforms, and social media strategy is highly beneficial.
