Outside Sales Representative - Material Handling

Our client is a long-established, full-line forklift dealership backed by a large, privately held parent organization. It operates as a total solutions provider for material handling: new and used Class I–V forklifts, rentals, parts, service contracts, and racking and warehouse systems.
The North Texas operation is one of the strongest in the company. The Dallas sales team has been the company's top-performing team nationally for the last two years and has had almost no turnover. The Fort Worth branch is home to a customer experience center, where customers can see racking, automation, and narrow-aisle equipment demonstrated live. Both branches are backed by deep service and operations teams, so what you sell gets supported.
The Role
The company is looking for true hunters. As a Territory Account Manager, you will own a defined DFW territory, and your first priority is finding and winning new business, with a split of roughly 70% new-business development and 30% growing the accounts you land. Each territory has been worked before, so you'll inherit contacts and opportunities to build on, but the expectation is that you go out and create your own pipeline.
This is a field-based role. You'll be equipped to start and finish your day from a home office and spend your time in front of customers, coming into the branch when it's useful rather than every day. You'll report to the branch sales manager and work alongside some of the most successful reps in the organization.

What You'll Do
• Prospect and develop new accounts across manufacturing, production, food and beverage, distribution, and any operation that runs lift trucks
• Sell the full portfolio: new and used Class I–V forklifts from a leading OEM line, rentals, parts, service contracts, and racking solutions
• Expand into complementary lines including sweepers and scrubbers, truck-mounted forklifts, and aerial equipment
• Take opportunities from first call through close, then grow those accounts into long-term relationships
• Build and manage a disciplined call cadence and territory plan
• Use the customer experience center and product demos to help customers see solutions in action
Requirements
What We're Looking For
• A hunter mentality: persistence, resilience, and the drive to go find business rather than wait for inbound leads
• A track record of outside B2B sales and territory development
• Material handling or equipment sales experience is a plus but not required.
• The ability to balance new-business hunting with developing and growing accounts
• A professional, entrepreneurial approach to managing your own territory

Base salary: $60,000
Commission: on new units, used units, rental, parts, and service. Reps are expected to reach six-figure total earnings in year one.
Commission guarantee: available to qualified candidates for three to six months while you build your pipeline.
