About the team:
Header Bidding is the bleeding edge of business development. The Header Bidding team is responsible for providing new and constantly evolving tools and systems allows Sellers to more easily sell their inventory at higher prices and give Buyers better and more efficient access to audiences and inventory. You will work with both an internal team and a open-source community of developers to provide tools for the industry as a whole to integrated with each other in the most efficient way. The systems built by this team will manage hundreds of billions of requests with the lowest possible cost and highest possible response times.

Today, our automated advertising platform is used by the world’s leading publishers and applications to transact with top brands around the globe enabling them to reach more than 1 billion consumers. They operate the largest independent Display Advertising Exchange and Supply Side Platform that automates the buying and selling of Display Advertising across all formats (banner, video) on all devices (desktop browsers, mobile devices, billboards). Client’s auctions over 20 Billion Ads on a daily basis in real time in less than 1/2 of a second each. This is a publicly traded company (NYSE: RUBI) headquartered in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Requirements
4+ years coding experience in server-side Java
Good Java Core knowledge (Java 8 or higher, Collections, Exceptions, Multithreading, Concurrency)
Experience with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL), native SQL, ORMs (Hibernate)
Expertise in Service-oriented architectures, microservices
Experience with automated testing frameworks (TDD, Mocking, Unit/Functional/Integration)
Experience with Linux.
Experience working with and configuring CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems. Ability to think abstractly. A proactive approach to tasks;
Shifted working hours 12pm till 9pm EEST timezone Nice to have:
Experience with reactive paradigm (Project Reactor, Spring Webflux, Vert.x)
Familiarity with test reporting tools
Job responsibilities
Be responsible for designing and implementing build and test infrastructure, creating and enforcing good engineering practices, and evaluating product quality for various external and/or internal products
Work on problems in a number of areas, including application performance.
Build out our automated testing infrastructure to help us build reliable, scalable, high-quality products and services
Participate in design and implementation of test infrastructure to support building and moving services into a Continuous Deployment environment
Conduct research and create Proof of Concepts on new testing technologies/tools/concepts
Design test strategies by analyzing and dissecting complex heavily integrated software systems
Work collaboratively with fellow SDETs and developers to design, build and maintain a scalable, maintainable and flexible automation test framework
Investigate root cause of issues to assist with finding the most comprehensive and robust solutions
Collaborate closely with product, project and development teams to identify and resolve technical, business, and process related issues
