Role Description The Scheduling Specialist is a full-time, remote role responsible for coordinating patient appointments for ultrasound, CT, MRI, mammography, bone density, and varicose vein services. In this position, the specialist manages incoming calls and electronic requests, confirms patient information, and schedules or reschedules appointments in alignment with provider availability and clinical guidelines. The role includes verifying insurance details as needed, providing clear instructions to patients about preparation and visit logistics, and documenting all interactions accurately in scheduling systems. The Scheduling Specialist collaborates with clinical and administrative staff to reduce wait times, optimize daily schedules, and support a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong appointment scheduling skills and experience working with electronic scheduling systems or practice management software.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills in English and Spanish , including clear verbal and written communication with patients and team members.
Candidates should possess excellent customer service skills, with a focus on empathy, patience, and problem-solving in a healthcare setting.

Comfort working in a remote environment, with reliable internet access and the ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
Previous experience in medical scheduling, healthcare administration, or a similar role is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in healthcare administration or medical office procedures is a plus.
