Lead Systems Engineer - SCCM / End point L3
Role Title: Lead System Engineer / L3
Purpose of the Role
Lead System Engineer is responsible for the end to end lifecycle management, governance, security, compliance, deployment, modernization, and retirement of Microsoft licensed applications, open source softwares, and supporting drivers used across enterprise environments.
Level: Senior / Lead Individual Contributor (IC) with Product Ownership responsibilities and enterprise wide application management accountability.
Responsibilities in the Role
Act as the Application Manager for assigned application portfolios and related technologies.
Define and maintain product roadmaps, lifecycle strategies, and operational standards.
Gather business requirements and prioritize application enhancements and upgrades.
Research, evaluate and recommend alternative applications, including open source solutions, when existing products reach end of support, are discontinued by vendors, or no longer meet business requirements.
Manage the complete lifecycle of enterprise applications, including onboarding, testing, version upgrades, release planning and migrations.
Review application vendor roadmaps and product announcements / Upcoming features.
Provide recommendations for application optimization and cost savings.
Track Application license usage, contracts / Purchase process, and subscription renewals.
Manage application governance, Security compliance, and service quality throughout the application lifecycle.
Collaborate with Product Manager, Product Owner, business stakeholders, security teams, architecture teams, delivery teams and vendors.
Continuously monitor application security vulnerabilities and emerging threats.
Identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities using: CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures), CVSS Scoring, Security Bulletins, Vendor Advisories, Threat Intelligence Feeds.
Evaluate vulnerability impact on enterprise environments and provide risk assessments.
Coordinate remediation activities and security patch / fix deployments.
Ensure software adheres to organizational security, legal, and compliance requirements.
Maintain software inventory dashboards and tracking compliance target.
Point of contact for all escalated incidents / requests related to applications in Scope.
Responsible for Change and Problem Management.
Provide required inputs to stakeholders involved in case of critical incidents like outages.
Develop operational procedures, SOP and knowledge articles.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering / delivery teams.
To be proactive and have an Agile mindset to manage and execute Agile Scrum activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across application management services.
Experience:
8 12 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Enterprise Application Life Cycle Management, and End User Computing in large scale environments.

SCCM/Intune
Windows 11 Core Applications life Cycle management & Troubleshooting
Operating Systems: Windows 11 / Windows Server OS
Product Owner or Agile Certifications
ITIL Foundation or equivalent
Change / Incident/ Problem Management
Microsoft Security Certifications (Vulnerability Management).
