Tigerlily Foundation is seeking a Research & Data Analytics Intern to support the POWER Center of Excellence and its Healing in Power research initiative. The intern will apply classroom learning to a real-world health research project while developing practical skills in data management, statistical analysis, research documentation, and scientific communication.
This is a structured, project-based learning experience designed to complement academic coursework through close supervision, mentorship, reflection, and progressively challenging assignments.

What You'll Do
Under the guidance of the POWER Center of Excellence Lead, you will:
Review the Healing in Power research purpose, survey instrument, research questions, datasets, and project documentation.
Develop an individualized learning plan connecting academic goals to internship activities.
Clean, validate, organize, and prepare health-related survey data while documenting data-quality concerns.
Develop or enhance the project's data dictionary, codebook, and analytical documentation.
Apply responsible data stewardship, confidentiality, research integrity, and data-security practices.
Assist with an analysis plan and conduct approved descriptive and bivariate statistical analyses under supervision.
Participate in multivariate analysis when appropriate to the project, timeline, and your demonstrated competency.
Interpret findings while recognizing assumptions, limitations, and appropriate conclusions.
Prepare written summaries, tables, charts, figures, dashboards, and presentation materials for technical and nontechnical audiences.
Present findings to designated stakeholders and revise work based on feedback.
Complete a final presentation and reflection highlighting findings, contributions, and lessons learned.

Who Should Apply?

• Program Evaluation or a related field
Strong candidates will have coursework in research methods and statistics; working knowledge of SPSS, R, Excel, or comparable analytical software; strong analytical, written, and organizational skills; and a commitment to confidentiality, research integrity, and ethical data practices. Experience working with survey or research data is preferred.
Internship Structure
• Reports To: HR Consultant (Internship Program Administrator)
• Mentor: POWER Center of Excellence Lead
• Academic Preceptor: Designated by Tigerlily Foundation when required by the student's educational institution
• Format: Fully remote
• Start Date: September 8, 2026 tentatively
• Duration: 8-12 weeks, or as required by the academic institution
• Schedule: Approximately 10-15 hours per week
The internship includes orientation, an individualized learning plan, weekly mentoring meetings, regular feedback on work products, a midpoint professional-development discussion, and completion of university-required documentation when applicable.
Assignments will be selected for their educational value and adjusted based on academic preparation, demonstrated competencies, and project readiness. The intern will work under close supervision and will not independently make research, publication, programmatic, or organizational decisions or replace employees or contractors.
