As the Senior Manager for Business Development, Requirements, and Capabilities – Modular Open Systems Solutions Encryption, you will play a critical role in identifying, shaping, and securing new business opportunities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive growth, influence product development, and establish strategic relationships with key stakeholders. Your efforts will ensure the company remains competitive in the market while meeting customer needs.
What You Will Do
Lead the identification, development, and capture of new business opportunities within the Modular Open Systems Solutions Encryption portfolio
Brief senior leaders in the U.S. Department of War (DoW) and other government entities to align on strategic goals and opportunities
Oversee white paper and proposal development, lead capture teams, and manage the lifecycle of the pursuit, order, and capture process
Negotiate and close new business opportunities while ensuring alignment with customer and market requirements
Provide input into product development and strategic planning to address customer needs and market trends
Build and maintain relationships with U.S. Government and non-Government customers to identify and pursue potential new markets
Evaluate competitor solutions and assess the company’s positioning against market trends and customer requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management and engineering, to drive business growth and innovation
Travel up to 50% may be required to support business development activities and customer engagement
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience with U.S. military concepts of operations (CONOPs) related to secure communications, modular open systems architecture (MOSA), and cryptography
Experience with the lifecycle of the pursuit, order, and capture process
Experience directly supporting U.S. Government acquisitions
Qualifications We Prefer
Previous work experience with a cryptographic product/systems prime contractor
Experience working with the NSA and other Intelligence Community and Military Services stakeholders
Proven track record of closing deals, building partnerships, or driving revenue in high-growth environments
Deep understanding of cryptographic principles and cryptographic protocols
Leadership experience and decision-making capabilities in complex business environments

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
