Role Description The Assistant Manager will support branch and operational activities, ensuring smooth delivery of banking services at the Bengaluru on-site location. This full-time role includes overseeing daily customer service interactions, assisting with account opening, transactions, and service requests, and resolving queries in a timely and professional manner. The Assistant Manager will help monitor branch performance, implement process improvements, and support compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The role will also involve coordinating with cross-functional teams, preparing reports and documentation, and supporting sales efforts related to banking products and mutual fund distribution. The Assistant Manager is expected to maintain high standards of integrity, operational accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Strong customer service and relationship management abilities, with a focus on delivering clear, courteous, and solution-oriented support.
Solid understanding of retail banking operations, including account servicing, transaction handling, and basic product knowledge (savings, deposits, loans, and investment products).
Ability to work with technology-driven banking systems, including core banking platforms, CRM tools, and digital channels.
Good analytical and numerical skills to review reports, track performance metrics, and support risk and compliance requirements.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with branch staff, sales teams, and support functions.
Proven organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and adherence to procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business, or a related field; prior experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
Awareness of basic regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to small finance banking and mutual fund distribution.
