Role Description The Fundraising Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for planning and executing fundraising activities that support DWAR’s programs for underprivileged children and communities. On a day-to-day basis, this role involves identifying and researching potential donors, writing compelling proposals and campaign materials, and managing online fundraising initiatives. The Fundraising Specialist will build and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and grant-making organizations, while tracking pledges, donations, and reporting outcomes. This role also collaborates with program and communications teams to align fundraising messages with DWAR’s vision and to ensure transparent, accurate documentation of all fundraising efforts.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in donor research, prospect identification, and basic data analysis to inform fundraising strategies.
Candidates should possess skills in proposal writing, report writing, and creating persuasive fundraising content for digital and print channels.
Candidates should possess skills in relationship management, stakeholder communication, and collaboration with internal and external partners.
Candidates should possess skills in digital fundraising tools, social media campaigning, and basic CRM or donor management systems.
Relevant qualifications include strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks remotely.
Experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, or development work is highly beneficial, along with an understanding of community development and child welfare initiatives.
A diploma or degree in social work, nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; equivalent experience is also valued.
