Job Description
The Marketing Intern will support a variety of marketing initiatives, with a focus on social media, content creation, creative development, and project management assistance. This role offers hands-on experience contributing to brand awareness, thought leadership, digital marketing, and strategic marketing projects. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, proactive, and eager to bring new ideas to the table.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Creation
Create engaging content for social media channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
Design graphics, visuals, and basic video content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
Assist with content planning, editorial calendars, and publishing schedules.
Research trends, topics, competitors, and content opportunities to increase engagement and reach.
Monitor social media activity and recommend ideas to grow audience engagement.
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Support
Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns, promotions, and brand awareness initiatives.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and content planning discussions.
Research industry trends, competitors, and emerging marketing opportunities.
Marketing Projects
Support ongoing marketing and communications projects.
Assist with email marketing, website updates, presentations, and event promotion.
Help organize marketing assets and content libraries.
Collaborate with team members on special projects and strategic initiatives.
Creative Development
Draft social media copy, blog content, email communications, and promotional materials.
Develop creative concepts aligned with brand messaging and marketing goals.
Help maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels.
Qualification
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with major social media platforms and content best practices.
Experience with Canva and/or other graphic design tools.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Creative thinker with a willingness to learn and contribute new ideas.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating content for social media, school organizations, personal brands, or previous internships.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and other marketing tools.
Basic video editing experience.
Interest in content marketing, branding, digital marketing, and social media strategy.
